Everything ReadList does
ReadList follows the life of a book, from adding it to remembering it. Here is every feature, grouped the way you’ll use them.
Free, through Apple’s TestFlight app. Your library carries over to the App Store release.
ReadList is on iPhone first. Leave your email and we’ll tell you the day it’s ready for Android.
I · Track14 features
Track
Everything about the book you’re reading now: where you are, how long you’ve read and what’s next.
-
Today and Continue Reading
Your current book first, at your page, one tap from a session.
-
Reading sessions
A timer for each sitting, with pages read, pace and what you captured.
-
Track by page, percentage or time, for print, ebook and audiobook.
-
Lock Screen and Dynamic Island
The session keeps time outside the app. Pause or end without unlocking.
-
Reading goals
Books, pages or minutes a day, a week or a year, suggested from your history. Behind? It shows what it would take.
-
Up Next
Your Want to Read list as an ordered queue. Drag to reorder.
-
Add any book
Search the catalogue, scan the barcode, or add a book by hand.
-
Books you’ve already read
Tap the covers you’ve finished, with dates as precise as you remember: a day, a month, “Summer 2016” or just a year.
-
Rereads
Read a book again without losing the first time. Each read has its own Journey.
-
Stop at page and finish by
Skip the notes and appendix with a last page of your own, and add a finish date for a daily pace hint.
-
“Still reading?”
Forgot the timer? End the session at your last touch, keep it, or adjust it. A reminder comes after 3 hours.
-
Goals without guilt
Optional reminders come only on days you haven’t read yet, with a gentle Sunday check-in. Never a nag.
-
Widgets
Your current book, your week and a saved line on the Home Screen.
-
Apple Watch
Start, pause and end a session from your wrist, set your page with the Digital Crown, dictate a note or mark a book finished. Today’s goal, the session timer and your current book can sit on your watch face. With iCloud sync on, it works even when your iPhone isn’t nearby.
II · Capture5 features
Capture
The book’s words and your own, kept apart and linked, saved to the right page.
-
Camera quotes
Photograph a page, tap the paragraph and narrow it to the sentences you want, read on your iPhone in several languages. 3 a month free, unlimited with Pro; typing a quote is always free.

-
Notes
Your own thoughts, attached to a page or a quote, in your own words.

What to read next, chosen from your own shelves, the series you’re in and the authors you already read.
-
What to Read Next
Pick a mood and get a few books from your own Want to Read and unread shelves, each with a plain reason it fits.
-
After you finish
The finish screen suggests what comes next: the next book in the series when it’s on your shelf, and more by the same author from Open Library in your languages, unless you rated the book 2 stars or lower. With Pro, it also picks books from your own shelves that share its subjects, each with a reason.
-
Author pages and More by
Book Detail shows more by the author: your own books first, then others from Open Library, one per book, in the languages you read. Tap the author’s name for their page. The same rows appear as you add past reads.
-
Look a book up
Open any book on Open Library or find it online. No affiliate links.
Try all of it in the iPhone beta.
